The Perfect Month to Recruit

4th Dec 2014
The Perfect Month to Recruit It's common misconception that December is a poor time to recruit new staff. Businesses are starting to wind down and people everywhere are focused on finishing their Christmas shopping. Have you ever considered that this quieter time of year could be perfect for training up new staff, preparing them to hit the ground running in the New Year? Or that those shoppers are also active candidates looking for new job opportunities, hoping for a new job in January? In fact, December is the perfect month to recruit. The dream for candidates this time of year is to be able to sit back and relax during the Christmas break, with the feeling of relief that in the New Year, they'll be starting a new job with a new company. That leaves January to tick off the rest of their resolutions. Being able to get time off for interviews is much easier for them as generally people tend to have a day or two of annual leave spare, and it will look much less suspicious to their manager having an odd day off in December than any other time of year. Once January comes around, the masses decide this is their year for a new job and HR Managers can be bombarded. This means that in December, the pro-active, forward thinking candidates are much easier to find without having to sift through hundreds of CVs, and so now is the time to brief us on new vacancies that you have, so that we can draw upon our fresh supply of candidates for you. If your business is looking to hire any Purchasing or Supply Chain staff soon, please get in touch and see how we can help you. You can reach us by phone on 0121 585 6079 or email neil@redimo.co.uk
