UAE Product Manager Aviation & Aerospace - Middle East

Our client is a global leader in logistic solutions and provides services in airfreight, seafreight, railfreight and contract logistics. With representation in over 100 countries this company offers excellent career prospects and global opportunities.
They are currently looking for a Country Product Manager - Aviation and Aerospace (AA) for the United Arab Emirates. In this role you will take full responsibility and accountability for Aerospace and Aviation business including planning, relationship-building, maintenance, process improvements and tracking results to achieve high customer satisfaction, efficient and effective service delivery and maximum account/business profitability.
You will:
Develop, monitor and execute business plan for assigned customers - ensuring continuous development and growth
Act as the strategic point of contact in the selling of the companys integrated solutions
Drive the RFQ / Tender responses for all UAE based AA customers, liaising closely with business teams and Regional account team counterparts
Maintain and drive communication channels with customer and company operations to deliver consistent understanding of customer expectations relative to operational solutions, timelines, costs and results.
Develop and disseminate sales and marketing campaigns including participation at industry events, etc.
Understand the organisational layers and decision-making process of assigned customer and align the companys account management team to effectively operate within the process
Conduct regular and structured review sessions with assigned customer; introducing processes for innovation and continuous improvement
Build, strengthen and brickwall strategic relationships within customer organisations
Provide visibility and updates of sales activities in company systems
Ensure knowledge of Industry, assigned customer and account development information are known to the company
Continuously update own knowledge and skills and pro-actively seek market/industry information
Your performance will be measured on the following:
Aviation and Aerospace business results
Business delivery against agreed business plan
Growth/Profit development on assigned customers as well as pre-agreed growth for the UAE Aviation and Aerospace unit
Performance against annual targets / objectives
You will have:
Supply chain management experience, including a wide breadth of understanding in 4PL/LLP - supported by a formal qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain and / or related areas
In-depth knowledge of assigned industry and good awareness of competitors business strategy
Minimum 5 years experience in a global sales environment, selling International logistics and supply chain - covering both forwarding and contract logistics solutions
Operational knowledge and experience in airfreight and at least one of the core transportation modes being sold
