A world wide and market leading renewable energy business has a very urgent requirement for a Supplier Quality & Development Engineer. You will be working for a truly global business that has over 20 sites spanning the world. Currently employing over 4000 people they are looking to expand further and become the dominant force in their sector. You will ideally be from an electronic, automotive or aerospace (similar industries will be considered) manufacturing background with a strong understanding of quality systems. Your primary operational objectives will include:
• Supplier and Material qualification
• Procured Material Requirements
• Auditing Product Performance form the suppliers and within
• Supplier Non-Conforming Product
• Product-Return Material and Change Control
• Supplier Ranking and Rating
• Supplier Audit and Statistical Monitoring
• Quality System and Product Improvement
This is an excellent opportunity to scope future Supplier Quality and develop the team around you. Your daily activities to achieve this will include:
• Co-ordination of Suppliers for all quality aspects
• Track, Monitor and Measure the Quality Performance of all Supplier Quality functions
• Conduct, Report and Follow-up on Supplier Audits (Qualification, Annual, Quality Incident)]
• Take responsibility for all Quality Aspects for the Supplier Ranking and Rating process
• Take responsibility for detailing and managing the quality contract with suppliers
To excel in this exciting post you will need the following skills and experience:
• 5 years manufacturing experience in high volume manufacturing
• Good knowledge of logistics, quality, reliability, quality systems and sourcing business processes
• Knowledge of PDCA, SPC, 8D, Poke Yoke and FMEA methodologies
• Willingness to take responsibility and drive the solution of complex problems
• You must be a team player capable of integrating and work well in a cross functional team
• Results driven, with analytical and numeric skills
